Just take a look at the specific default 3 point coach sliders. Also i'm not in favor of adjusting these coach sliders because it just seems that they are broken as would many other people tell you.
I agree the feature is GREAT but the point that's unrealistic about this is that you have a player like Deandre Jordan coming off the bench just because he's not putting up points? He was one of the best rebounding and shot blockers in the league last year and Doc Rivers wouldn't even bench him late in games even though he couldn't make free throws. I'm thinking this logic will come in to play if a player gets injured and we tell the CPU to auto adjust the lineup, but I could be wrong. One quick question though, will that still happen even if we do 30team control? I would not mind the CPU doing that especially with teams I'm not necessarily following. Man that's great leftos! I always wanted that especially for teams that are re-building and are trying out different lineups throughout the season. Turn it down if you don't like this mechanic.
FYI, there's an adjustable slider on every coach about this, called the "Lineup Performance Factor". I don't see what's so unrealistic about this, unless you're seeing lineup changes that don't appear to be related to that. Starters can temporarily lose their starting gigs while 6th men get the nod for a few games to prove their worth.
That would hasten their retirements and removal from the league. If you're also wondering how to get past the 150 create-a-player max, here's a workaround that has worked for the past two versions of the game.I've mentioned several times that the leaderboards overlays not showing up is something that we have a fix ready for for the next patch.Īs for teams adjusting their lineups and players you're expecting to start not starting, are you sure the players that end up starting aren't on a hot streak over the past games? In past 2K games players' performances wouldn't matter at all when building lineups, but starting with 2K14 (and with an increased effect in 2K15) coaches will recognize players' hot and cold streaks and give them more/less minutes based on that. What would you do with the current players? One option is to put them all in the free agent pool and push each of their ages and experience to the max. It would be like playing 20 or so seasons in a MyGM or MyLeague to a point where all of the current players have retired. If you want a little more control over the new faces of the league, you could give them all new names, etc. If that hasn't changed in this year's game, you could go with those randomly generated players as the new stars of the NBA. In NBA 2K16, whenever you began the create-a-player process, a face, height and physical dimensions would be randomly selected-as would the name, position and a ratings base. You could create new players to fill out the rosters for all 30 NBA teams.Įssentially, you'd be dumping all the players from every roster and replacing them with new, fictional players. This would take a lot of work, but if you've got the desire and the time, it might be worth it. Playing with those teams for an entire season might be fun. You take the best 34 pro-producing collegiate programs (leaving slots open for prep-to-pros and international players) and you assemble the 13-best players from each group.įor example, a North Carolina Tar Heels team would have: Michael Jordan, James Worthy and Kenny Smith, while a Duke Blue Devils team would have Grant Hill and Kyrie Irving. We still don't have a College Hoops 2K game, but with the team creation options, we could create spot on uniforms and arenas for our favorite collegiate programs.Ĭreating current college players and teams for a condensed experienced is a thought, but without having the option to change the shot clock and playbooks, it won't feel like a college game.Īn even more exciting concept is an alumni league.
